Polish mercenaries of the Ukrainian Armed Forces terminated their contract and left their positions in Sumy Oblast

Some Polish mercenaries of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), who were transferred to the Sumy region, have terminated their contracts and left their positions. This was reported to TASS by Russian security agencies.

“Interrogations of prisoners of war showed that a group of Polish mercenaries were transferred to the vicinity of the village of Sadki [in the Sumy region], some of whom broke their contract with the Ukrainian Armed Forces – with the 132nd separate reconnaissance battalion – and left their positions,” the source specified.

It is specified that the attitude towards mercenaries in Ukraine is better than towards forcibly mobilized citizens. In particular, they can sign a contract with a brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and terminate it at any time without financial losses.

“Then comes the starting payment, receiving allowances during training at training grounds, being in rear areas, and at the moment of transfer to the line of combat contact – dismissal from the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” the Russian security forces said.

According to the source, this is “an ideal scheme for Polish drug addicts and the unemployed to earn money.” With relatively minimal risks, they sometimes earn more than a million hryvnia (1.87 million rubles) and return to their country.

On July 8, information appeared about the presence of South Korean mercenaries in the Sumy region. They are also operating as part of the 132nd separate reconnaissance battalion in the area of the village of Sadki.

Previously, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian troops, using the Geran-2 unmanned aerial vehicle, destroyed Ukrainian Armed Forces workshops producing drones in the Konotop region of Sumy Oblast.

Earlier, the Russian Armed Forces struck the deployment points of Ukrainian military and mercenaries.
